Located in Anchorage, Southcentral Foundation (SCF) is a nonprofit Alaska Native healthcare organization that incorporates traditional Native values into western practices. With the fast growing pace of SCF'S Behavioral Health Division we are seeking Psychiatric Nurse Practitioners to join our multi-disciplinary behavioral health team. Our Psychiatric Nurse Practitioners are responsible for providing direct patient care in assigned area, perform assessments and treatments. Deliver case management and supportive services to customer/owners and provides professional expertise and participates in the administration of a variety of therapeutic modalities and training programs in the field of mental health. Consults and coordinates with health care providers working in other departments and in other locations and also works in coordination with management to develop and implement a quality assurance program. Qualifications: Current Certification by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners or American Nurse Credentialing Center, (NP), minimum two years experience as an ANP. Must have current valid Alaska license and be eligible for DEA certification. Credentialing organization must be covered by requirement of the State of Alaska Board of Nursing. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required, ACLS, NRP, ATLS, ALSO and PALS as required for specialty, with specialized expertise in psychopharmacology.
