Anchorage Mat-Su Vacancy by http://amvacancy.blogspot.com Vacuum Truck & Sweeper Operators (Anchorage ) 14 Mar 2011, 12:44 pm ASR Services's is hiring 3 CDL Drivers WITH Experience operating Vactor trucks and/or Industrial Sweeper trucks to help us manage rapid growth and a growing backlog of work. Must have current CDL and clean drivers abstract. Ideal canidate will have experience with Schwarze A7000 & A4000 Sweepers and Vactor 2100 Series equipment. Preferred candidates will: - Demonstrate leadership in managing the truck and crew, good judgment in the field, self-motivation, and ability to act independently - Have a clean driving record - Demonstrate a thorough understanding of the jetting and vacuum systems. -Provide references Candidate must be able to work under minimal supervision and communicate courteously and pro-actively. Able to complete projects despite obstacles; able to classify technical information and redirect efforts when necessary. Preferred Prerequisites: Related Work Experience - Performs all duties according to prescribed safety procedures and uses appropriate safety equipment. - May be required to operate various pieces of equipment - Working in manhole systems, verifying and proofing existing conduit systems - Towing various trailers with flatbed trucks -Must possess a valid driver's license. This position requires the applicant to have and maintain a current Commercial Driver's License (CDL) including the necessary endorsements - High school diploma or equivalent - Successful criminal background check and pre employment drug screening is required. - Ability to accurately measure distances, using tapes or other measuring device - Ability to drive a company vehicle in a safe and responsible manner - Ability to prioritize and organize effectively - Ability to work independently Work Environment/Physical Activities - Lift and carry loads of 70 lbs. or more - Work and travel in inclement weather - Exposure to moderate noise levels - Vision ability: close vision, peripheral vision, and ability to adjust focus • Compensation: depending on experience.
